EMPORIA, Kansas – The Embry-Riddle women's track and field team celebrated two All-American performances on the second day of the NCAA II Outdoor Championships on Friday as
Mikaela Miles and
Brooklynn Gould earned top-10 finishes in the triple jump and heptathlon, respectively.
Friday's competition marked the third appearance on the national stage for Miles. After earning second-team honors at the 2023 and 2024 indoor competitions, the San Diego, California sophomore posted a first-team All-America finish with a fifth-place showing in the long jump. After fouling on her first attempt, Miles secured her spot among the top five with a career-best and school record leap of 12.63m.
Gould (Eagle River, Alaska) wrapped up her first season wearing the Blue & Gold by rewriting the ERAU record books again. Competing in her first national championship event, the junior transfer scored 5,252 points in the heptathlon to better her own school record and earn second team All-America honors with a 10th-place overall finish. Gould's two-day performance included a personal best 40.36m toss in the javelin, as well as Embry-Riddle personal bests in the shot put (11.70m) and 200m (25.44).
