Ryan Flournoy wrapped us his second consecutive trip to the NCAA II Outdoor Championships as a first-team All-American in the javelin at on Saturday. Flournoy and
Antonio Caito were the Eagles' only representatives in the 2024 edition of the national championship event.
Flournoy (Orlando, Florida) had six attempts and all six throws ranked in Embry-Riddle's all-time top seven marks. He began the day by breaking his own program record with a toss of 68.70m, but it was his second throw that locked up his All-America performance. He bettered his first throw with a mark of 69.14m on his second attempt to finish fourth overall and cement his status as Embry-Riddle's all-time best in the javelin.
Caito (Indianapolis, Indiana) closed out his second season with the Eagles with his first appearance on the national stage. Caito, who owns the program's indoor triple jump record, recorded the seventh best jump of his career on Saturday to wrap up the 2024 season with a 15th-place finish.
