BETHEL, Ohio - The No. 2 Embry-Riddle women's rowing team participated in a pair of Petite Finals on Saturday to complete the NCAA II National Championship and the 2023-24 season. The Eagles' Eight boat won its final to earn six points while ERAU's Four boat grabbed second for two points. With a combined score of eight points, Embry-Riddle placed sixth.

It was a 10:04 a.m. start time for Laurel Grein (Cox), Alexandria Fife-Winslow, Danielle DelGrippo, Caterina Hart, and Briella Goldenberg in Fours. They posted their fastest time of the weekend at 8:08.690 behind the winner No. 1 Western Washington.

Then in Eights, Jolee Paulk (Cox), Shelby Ernst, Sofia Lorenzini, Soleil Edwards, Alexandra Weilert, Aria Moses, Reagan Hurt, Abby Webb, and Kristen Vigna blasted out to a three second advantage after the opening 500 meters. That lead continued to increase throughout the entire race as the Eagles cruised to an eight-second victory over No. 4 Seattle Pacific with a time of 7:03.892.

Western Washington won its ninth title in program history and its first since 2017 with 22 points, edging out No. 6 Mercyhurst (21 points), No. 3 Central Oklahoma (20 points), and last year's champion No. 5 Cal Poly Humboldt (19 points) in an incredibly tight race for the title.

That concludes the Eagles' 2023-24 season. Embry-Riddle composed yet another successful campaign after capturing the program's third-straight Sunshine State Conference title and fourth-consecutive Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association crown. The Eagles accumulated nine gold medals this season along with three silvers and two bronzes.
