Men's Lacrosse Features Four on Academic All-District Squad

| By:
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's lacrosse team saw four standouts named to the Academic All-District team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday. Pete Abbes, Isaiah Hines, Christian Hofer and Reid Kerr were honored with the award.

The CSC selects student-athletes based on combined performances on the field and in the classroom, and to be nominated a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with a least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (including both undergraduate and graduate degree work), play 90-percent of the teams' games, and have been at their respective institutions for at least one academic year.

Abbes and Hofer both earn the distinction for the second time in their careers after becoming two of the first three ERAU lacrosse players in program history to earn the honor in 2023, along with Ryan Manning

Hines, who was already recognized by the USILA as a Scholar All-American earlier this month, Abbes and Hofer were each All-Sunshine State Conference honorees, while Kerr was a standout keeper in net for the Eagles.

As a team, the Eagles' program earned a 2024 USILA Academic Team Award, averaging a 3.327 GPA overall, with 21 players earning at least a 3.5 and seven owning a perfect 4.0 GPA.
