Eagles Fly High in First Meet of the Indoor Season

Gainesville, Fla. — The Embry-Riddle men's track, and field team kicked off its 2025 season with an impressive showing at the Jimmy Carnes Invite in Gainesville, Fla. The Eagles made their mark with record-breaking performances, and promising signs for the season ahead. 

Highlight Performances 

  • Aaron Nash: The transfer made a stunning debut, shattering the school record in the long jump with a leap of 7.36m, earning a second-place finish in the process. He also met the provisional qualifying standards set by the NCAA Division II  

  • Chance Tressler: Tressler delivered an impressive 14.25m throw in the shot put, placing fifth overall in a field dominated by Division I competitors. 

  • Men's 4x400m Relay: The newly formed team of Will Fiesbeck, Alexander Kelchner, Aleksander Schade, and Aaron Nash clocked in at 3:26.42, breaking Embry-Riddle's all-time top 10 

  • Kobe Diggs: In the 60m dash, Diggs set a new personal best of 7.10 seconds.  

The Eagles are back in action on the 24th and 25th of January when they travel back to Gainesville, Fla. to take part in the RADD Sports Invitational.
