MARTINEZ, Ga. — The Embry-Riddle men's and women's track and field team dominated in the field events this week at the RADD Sports Invitational earning Peach Belt Conference Field Athlete of the Week awards.
Kobe Diggs was named PBC Male Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, his first weekly honor of the season. Diggs recorded the fourth longest jump in ERAU triple jump history, as he lept 14.92m and won first place. He met the NCAA Division II provision and is now ranked 12th nationally in the triple jump.
Brooklynn Gould had a historic weekend that earned her PBC Female Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. She broke the ERAU and Alachua County Sports Complex record in the pentathlon, scoring 3,702 points. This achieved the provisional standard and she is now ranked sixth in the NCAA Division II for this event. Gould excelled in her field events, including the shot put with 10.63m (1st), the long jump with 5.41m (3rd), and the second highest all-time high jump in ERAU history (1.65m, 1st).
Next up, the Eagles will be traveling to Gainesville, Fla. to compete at the Alachua County Collegiate Invitational on February 1-2.
