Women's Lacrosse Places Two on Preseason All-America List

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - USA Lacrosse Magazine announced its Division II Women's Preseason All-Americans on Thursday and the list features two members of the Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team. Eliana Enners was named to the second team, and Caitlin Gavin earned third-team honors.
 
Enners returns after a standout season as a freshman, when she earned 2024 Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year and 2024 IWLCA First Team All-South Region honors. She led the Eagles with 62 goals, including three game-winners, and 20 assists, she finished with a total of 82 points. Enners' also led the Eagles in ground balls (49), draw controls (87), and shots on goal (91).
 
Gavin, a returning sophomore, made a strong impact in the 2024 team's defense with 48 ground balls, 33 draw-controls, and a team-high 53 caused turnovers. She not only impacted the defense but also the offense, scoring 41 goals (one game-winner) and tallying 12 assists. She finished the year a 2024 First Team All-Conference, 2024 IWLCA Second Team All-South Region and two-time SSC Defensive Player of the Week. 
 
 Enners and Gavin will play in the Eagles' season opener on Saturday when they travel to Huntsville, Ala., to face Alabama-Huntsville at 1 p.m.
