DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The No.12 Embry-Riddle men's tennis (4-1) team defeated No. 14 Florida Southern (2-3) 5-2 in a Sunshine State Conference match on Saturday afternoon at the Crotty Tennis Complex. The Eagles now improve to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in conference after a strong performance.
Doubles
- The No.1 pairing of Joshua Nuyts and Michele Iftimie put on a confident display on the doubles court taking down their opponents Chis Fok Kow and Mario Garoz 6-3. This improved last year's performance as they had lost 6-3.
- Enrico Rosellini and Alvaro Diaz Rodrigo at No.2 needed just one break of serve against Edoardo and George Russell as they won 6-4.
- For the clean sweep in the doubles, Wilson Igbinovia and Mason Cisco were a strong pairing once again at No.3 taking down Samuel Frizelle and Ryan Rajakar 6-3.
Singles
- Competing at No. 2 for the Eagles, Igbinovia faced off against the Mocs' Fok Kow in a tightly contested match. The two battled back and forth, but a single break in each set was all that was needed, as Igbinovia secured the win, 7-5, 6-4.
- Rosellino secured the win at No. 3, emerging victorious in a three-setter against Garoz, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.

- Iftimie was the quickest win of the day facing few problems against Hewitt, winning 6-4, 6-2.
