Nickson Earns Second All-SSC Nod of Career

| By:
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Men's Basketball's Dru Nickson was once again rewarded for another outstanding season as the Sunshine State Conference named the senior to the All-Conference Second Team on Wednesday. It's the 10th time an Eagle earned a spot on an All-SSC team. Nickson is just the third member of the Blue and Gold to receive the SSC honor on multiple occasions after earning third-team honors last year. ERAU has had at least one Eagle on an All-SSC squad every season it has competed in since becoming a full-time member in 2017-18.

Nickson was a versatile guard this season, ranking fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.6), sixth in assists per game (4.1), 13th in steals per game (1.5) and 14th in points per game (16.2) in the SSC. The Melbourne, Florida native also averaged 3.5 rebounds over 32.4 minutes per contest.

Nickson was a prolific scorer, registering 20 points or more in nine of his 29 games played. He closed out his collegiate career on a strong note by scoring 30 points against Barry in the regular-season finale and putting up 43 points versus Rollins, the second most in a game in program history and the 15th-most in SSC history.

The 2024-25 Embry-Riddle Men's Basketball season is presented by Daytona Kia.
