No. 2 Women’s Rowing Earns Spot in Varsity Eight Petite Final at Knecht Cup

CHERRY HILL, N.J.- Embry-Riddle Women's Rowing sent its varsity eight boat to the Knecht Cup this weekend, and the Eagles competed in heats and semifinals on Saturday. ERAU's performance earned it a spot in the petite final on Sunday. 

This is the second-straight season the Eagles are competing at this regatta.

  • V8+ | In the morning heat, the Eagles defeated UConn, Monmouth and former NCAA II foe Mercyhurst to place third in heat No. 4 (7:28.87) and advance to semi-final 1.
  • In the semi-final, a time of 7:41.73 had the Eagles ahead of Duquesne at the finish, but a fifth-place showing sent Embry-Riddle to the petite final on Sunday.
