DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's tennis student-athletes Alvaro Diaz Rodrigo and Joshua Nuyts have been named to the 2025 Men's Tennis Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators (CSC), one of the nation's top academic honors.

The CSC Academic All-District program recognizes student-athletes across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and the NAIA for excellence both in the classroom and in competition. To qualify, athletes must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have played in at least 90% of their team's matches during the current season.

Diaz Rodrigo, now a four-time Academic All-District selection, continued his brilliant career this season. The Madrid, Spain native is pursuing a master's degree in aerospace engineering and maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA. On the court, he earned Second Team All-Sunshine State Conference (SSC) singles honors with a 20-8 overall singles record and a 5-2 mark in SSC play.

Nuyts makes his first appearance on the Academic All-District Team after a strong season. He posted an 18-11 singles record, including a 4-3 record in conference, while playing between the No. 1 and No. 3 singles positions. The sophomore also spent most of the year at the No. 1 doubles spot. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in aeronautical science and holds a 4.0 GPA.
