Eagles Cruise to 140-Point Victory, Secure PBC Threepeat

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team left no doubt Saturday at the Peach Belt Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship, scoring 248 points to outpace runner-up Augusta University, which finished with 108 points.
The Blue & Gold dominated the meet, winning 11 of 16 events, setting nine Peach Belt Conference Championship meet records and four ERAU school records to secure their third straight indoor conference title.

Championship Performances: 
Antonio Caito: Caito soared 15.64m in the triple jump to secure gold. His mark ranks No. 3 in NCAA Division II this season while setting both an ERAU school record and a PBC Championship meet record.

Ryan Antalek: Antalek recorded a pair of top-three finishes. After placing third in the pole vault (4.50m), he quickly transitioned to the high jump, clearing 1.99 meters on his second attempt, one attempt sooner than USC-Beaufort's Channing Robinson, to claim gold and a PBC Championship meet record.

Nicholas Scarangelli: Scarangelli turned in a distance triple to remember. He opened the day with a personal-best 8:10.56 in the 3000m, shattering the PBC Championship meet record. He followed with a runner-up finish in the mile (4:11.25) before anchoring the 1600m leg of the gold medal-winning distance medley relay.

Luke Richardson: Richardson competed in two events, won two events, and set two ERAU records and two PBC Championship meet records. He clocked 6.68 in the 60m dash, which ranks No. 10 in NCAA Division II, before blazing to 21.04 in the 200m, currently No. 4 in NCAA Division II this season.
 
Jacob Swavely: Embry-Riddle swept the top five spots in the weight throw, with Swavely taking the title by 0.06m with a toss of 15.43m a PBC Championship meet record.

Chance Tressler: Tressler captured gold in the shot put with a throw of 14.76m.

Reese Howard: Howard battled early in the pole vault, clearing 4.05m on his third and final attempt before rattling off clean clearances at 4.20m, 4.35m, and 4.50m. He sealed the victory by clearing 4.65m on his second attempt.

Eli Enney: Enney delivered a breakthrough performance in the 400 meters, running a personal-best 47.76 to break both the PBC Championship meet record and the ERAU school record.

Derick Brown: Brown set the tone in the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries with a 7.94 before winning the final in 7.96. His time ranks No. 11 in NCAA Division II while breaking his own school record and the PBC Championship meet record.

DMR: Scarangelli, Jake Fritz, Taye Newman, and Elijah Wiggins captured gold in 10:09.90, setting a new PBC Championship meet record.
