Men’s Rowing Cruises To Five Wins at Rollins Invitational

| By:
WINTER PARK, Fla. — Embry-Riddle men's rowing opened its 2026 regular season in dominant fashion on Saturday morning, winning five of six races against Rollins and the University of Florida. There was an even split of races with three races between the eights and a trio of races involving the V4 boats. ERAU had a total of eight boats compete throughout the morning, with two entries into the V8+ and 2V4+ races.

The Blue and Gold could not have asked for a better start to the morning as they earned first and second place in the opening V8 race. The V8+ (A) finished just three seconds ahead of the V8+ (B), while being more than five seconds ahead of the next boat. The 2V8+ race followed, with Embry-Riddle outpacing the Tars by nearly eight seconds, enough to begin the day with back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

The first V4+ race was again won by ERAU who earned a narrow win over the Tars by just over two seconds in the 2,000 meter showdown. The young crew of the F8+ put on an impressive showing as they finished more than 15 seconds ahead of the hosts, Rollins.

During the 2V4+ competition, the 2V4+ (A) earned the largest win of the morning, ahead by 17 seconds, before seeing the 2V4+ (B) finish narrowly behind the Tars in second place. The last race of the morning began at 10:30, watching the freshmen of the F4+ cross the finish line at a time of 8:59.7.
