No. 4 @ERAUWSoccer Looks for Fourth Conference Win Against Southeastern

THE EAGLES
The Embry-Riddle women's soccer team celebrated a program milestone on Thursday as the team's 6-0 defeat of Ave Maria marked the 200th win in program's 17-year history. The victory improved the Eagles' overall record to 8-1 and they remain unbeaten in league play at 3-0.

"It's a great accomplishment for our program to get 200 wins tonight," ERAU Head Coach Samantha Bohon said. "I'd like to give credit to Dan Blank, the coach prior to me, for starting this program and getting it going in the right direction. I also want to extend a thank you to all of the players who have worn an Embry-Riddle uniform over the years. This night is just as much about them; we're celebrating their accomplishments as well. "

Isabelle Haaranen scored twice in Thursday's game to move up to No. 2 on the Eagles' scoring charts with eight goals and three assists for a total of 19 points. Andrea Froshaug is the Eagles' scoring leader with 10 goals, while Katherine Ebbs leads the squad with five assists.

THE FIRE
Bronson Gambale is in his second year at the Southeastern head coach. Last season the Fire finished 3-13 overall and 1-8 in league play. The Fire returned seven letterwinners, including four starters.

Becky Reynolds and Alyssa Kaminski are leading the Fire offense so far this season with three goals apiece. Jessican McClernan has started seven games in goal for SEU and has 22 saves to go with a 2.41 goals against average.

THE SERIES
Today's contest marks the sixth meeting between the Embry-Riddle and Southeastern women's soccer teams. The Eagles have been victorious in all five of the previous meetings, including an 8-0 win on the Fire's home field on Oct. 19, 2013.

MOVING UP
The Eagles continue to climb in the national rankings. After starting at No. 6, the Eagles have moved up one spot each week in the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, and currently sit at No. 4. Defending national champion Concordia (Oregon) continues to hold the No. 1 spot, while William Carey, Cumberland (Tennessee), Embry-Riddle and Concordia (California) round out the top five.

AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
The Embry-Riddle women's soccer team currently stands as on of the most prolific offensive teams in the NAIA. The Eagles lead the nation with a 5.0 goals-per-game average, and rank in the top 10 nationally in assists per game (3rd, 3.78), total assists (3rd, 34), total goals (2nd, 45) and shots on goal per game (7th, 12.0).

Individually, Andrea Frøshaug ranks ninth in goals per contest (1.25).

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Senior Katherine Ebbs and junior Olivia Lynch are steadily moving up on a few of the Eagles' career listings. Ebbs, who leads the 2014 squad with five assists on the year, is now sixth all-time in the Eagles' assists list with a career total of 26. Lynch's two shutouts this season have moved her into the No. 5 spot with 11 for her career, while her 8-1 record places her in fourth in career wins with 23.

TOUGH SLATE
Once again, Samantha Bohon has put together one of the best schedules in the country for the Eagles in 2014. The Blue and Gold's challenging slate features five nationally ranked foes, including No. 6 Lindsey Wilson, No. 14 Northwood, No. 5 Concordia (Calif.), No. 2 William Carey and No. 21 Mobile, as well as St. Thomas, who is among the teams receiving votes.
