THE EAGLES
Embry-Riddle maintained its No. 1 ranking for the seventh straight week. The Eagles improved their 2013-14 record to 9-2 with an 8-1 win over No. 25 Oklahoma Baptist last Wednesday and are unbeaten at the Crotty Tennis Complex in 2014.

The defending Sun Conference champions, the Eagles own a 2-0 record in league play after notching wins against St. Thomas and 19th-ranked Northwood. The Eagles' only two losses on the year have been to defending NCAA II national champion and top-ranked Barry and NCAA II No. 4 Lynn.
 
Deni Zmak leads the Eagles with 22 singles wins for a 22-3 record, while Simon Felix is second with a 15-3 singles ledger. Zmak and Felix have also combined for a team-best 21-4 doubles mark.

NORTHWESTERN OHIO
Northwestern Ohio is riding an eight-match winning streak going into Monday's contest against Webber International. The 16th-ranked Racers improved their overall record to 14-1 on the year with a 6-3 win over No. 19 Northwood on Sunday in Orlando. UNOH is led by sophomore Daniel Rueda who is ranked 14th in the ITA/NAIA singles poll. Rueda and fellow sophomore Thommy Johansson also make up the seventh-ranked doubles team in the NAIA.

THE ERAU-UNOH SERIES
Tuesday's contest marks the fourth meeting between the Embry-Riddle and Northwestern Ohio men's tennis teams. The Eagles have dominated the series, winning each of the last three meetings, including an 8-1 decision on March 29, 2013.

The Last Meeting
The second-ranked Embry-Riddle men's tennis team notched its 14th win of the season, thanks to an 8-1 defeat of the University of Northwestern Ohio on March 29. The match, which took place at ERAU's Crotty Tennis Complex, ran the Eagles' record to 14-2 overall.

The Eagles won two of the three doubles points as Deni Zmak and Chris Freeman down Gustavo Rueda and Cassio Sirimarco 8-2 on court one, Simon Felix and Kevin Chaouat bested Daniel Rueda and Alex Hager 8-5 on court two. The Racers (6-3) got their only point of the afternoon when Emin Alpan and Thomy Johansson came from behind to top Anthony Grasso and Miguel Lopez 8-6.

Grasso bounced back from the doubles loss to defeat Alpan 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Freeman followed with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Gustavo Rueda at the second spot and Deni Zmak scored the clincher with a 6-2, 6-4 decision against Daniel Rueda at No. 1.

The remaining three singles matches were all dominated by the Eagles as Felix, Lopez Gomez and David Spennare dropped just three games combined. Felix downed Johansson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4, followed by Lopez Gomez' 6-0, 6-2 win over Rutter at the fifth position, and Spennare turned in his fourth shutout of the year, blanking Hager 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

EAGLES IN THE RANKINGS
The Eagles are ranked No. 1 in the NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 poll, marking the ninth consecutive season that ERAU Men's Tennis is ranked among the nation's top five. The Eagles have three student-athletes ranked among the nation's Top 50, including No. 1 Deni Zmak, No. 24 Jaime Sanchez-Canamares Rios and No. 38 Simon Felix. Zmak and Felix also comprise the top-ranked doubles team in the nation.
