TAMPA, Fla. - The NAIA 13th-ranked Embry-Riddle Eagles and the NCAA II top-ranked and defending national champion Tampa Spartans were scheduled to play this evening at 5 p.m. in Tampa, but weather has forced the cancellation of the contest. The Eagles have now had three games rained out with a doubleheader against Brewton-Parker (April 8) and tonight's game against Tampa cancelled.
The Blue and Gold host Webber International this weekend in the final Sun Conference series of 2014. The Eagles, who have already clinched at least a share of the regular season title, need one win to claim the No. 1 seed for The Sun Conference Tournament (May 2-5) in Fort Myers, Fla. The Eagles and Warriors will meet in a single game on Friday night at 6 p.m. before a twin bill slated for a 1 p.m. start on Saturday.
