Click Here for Complete ResultsPENSACOLA, Fla. –The final day of play at the University of West Florida Fall Fling saw three Embry-Riddle women's tennis players go undefeated on Saturday.
Kathryn Bock and Anna Götz each posted 2-0 records in singles, while Götz teamed up with
Hui-I Huang for a 2-0 doubles ledger.
Four Eagle players took the court in the quarterfinal round of the back draw of their respective singles flights, but only Götz and Bock were able to come away with victories. Bock started her day with a 6-2, 6-2 win over North Alabama's Morgan Jose and finished with a 6-0, 6-2 defeat of host West Florida's Giovana Patitucci to win the Flight 3 singles back draw.
Götz alternated her two singles and two doubles matches. In her first singles contest of the day, she dispatched New Orleans' Soledad Calderon 6-2, 6-2 before teaming up with Huang for a 6-4 win over Alcorn State's Siobhan Ryan-Bovey and Ekaterina Potapova. Playing an abbreviated singles match, the ERAU junior dispatched UWF's Nina Bubelova 8-5 to win the Flight 1 singles back draw.
Götz and Huang capped the tournament by claiming the back draw doubles title in Flight 1 when they downed UNO's Trang Dao and Anja Luethi 7-5.
The Eagles will close out fall play at the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational hosted by Bethune-Cookman, Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
