DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's tennis team concluded play at the ERAU Open on Sunday. The three-day tournament at the Crotty Tennis Complex featured five singles and three doubles wins by the Blue and Gold.
Mickael Faucher led the way with two singles victories, besting Flagler's Niklas Heil (6-1, 6-0) and earning a come-from-behind win over Tommaso Bagon 6-7 (5), 6-4, 10-8.
The Eagles won three of the four doubles matches contested on Sunday. Faucher partnered with
Rodolfo Arreygue to earn two of those wins with both coming against teams from Flagler. The duo topped Daniel Arrien and Heil 8-5, and capped the day with a 9-8(4) edge over Bogan and Reid Burrows.
Next for the Eagles is the ITA/NCAA II Florida Regional being hosted by Florida Southern in Lakeland, Sept. 23-26.
