CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Embry-Riddle women's rowing team took part in the Head of the Hooch regatta last weekend, taking 24th in the Championship 4+ race.
"I'm very pleased with the results from the weekend," Director of Rowing
Jamie Francis said. "Since we are now a varsity program we were unable to enter the Collegiate & Club events, but the athletes responded well to the sudden change of competitors and simply rowed their race. The women raced programs that we don't normally see, like Louisville and Oklahoma, and held their own as a very young boat. I am excited to see how we stack up against other Florida teams next weekend at Stetson."
In the Championship 4+ race, the Eagles took 24th out of 33 boats with a time of 19:25.79. The boat was coxswained by
Alyssa Crystal and featured Kaya Treder,
Lauren Stollenwerk,
Diana Perera and
Athena Padgiotis as rowers.
Next up, the Blue and Gold will travel to DeLand to participate in the Stetson Fall Rendezvous, which will serve as ERAU's final fall regatta.
