Men’s Track Wraps Up Samford Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team completed its third meet of the season Saturday with the Samford Invitational coming to a close. A number of Eagles set new personal bests, including three in the 3000m run.

Matt Graves placed ninth in the 3000m with a PR time of 8:33.53, while Noah Kemp (8:49.64) and Brian Cheluget (9:13.28) also set PR's in the event.

In the 400m, Nick Peters set a season-best time of 53.01 and Lonnie Marts posted a time of 50.15. Marts also tied a season-best in the 60m with a 7.19.

In the field events, Brodie Lubelski won the shot put with a mark of 17.50m, while Luis Rivera set a personal best of 13.60m.

The Eagles return home next week to host the First Chance Last Chance meet on Saturday, Feb. 18.
