DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Three Embry-Riddle women's track and field student-athletes earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as announced on Thursday.

Sierra Coward and
Sophia Gustely were name to the NCAA II District 5 First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
Beckwith (Orlando, Fla.) completed her undergraduate degree in Aerospace and Occupational Safety with a 3.35 grade point average and has a 3.50 GPA in pursuit of her master's degree in Business Administration. A three-time Eagles of Excellence scholarship recipient, she has also served as the women's track & field representative on ERAU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. One of the most decorated student-athletes in ERAU women's track & field history, Beckwith is a two-time Peach Belt Conference Track Athlete of the Year and has earned US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region recognition 26 times. The PBC record holder in the high jump (1.71m), she is a four-time PBC champion in that event and won conference titles in the 800m, 400m and 4x400m relay at the 2022 PBC Championships. Beckwith earned her second NCAA II Indoor All-America honor with a fourth-place finish in the 800m at the 2022 NCAA II Indoor National Championships and will look to repeat that performance at this week's Outdoor nationals.
Gustely will also be competing at the NCAA II Outdoor National Championships this week. Hailing from Coconut Creek, Florida, she sports a 3.92 GPA in Business Administration and like Beckwith, she has earned the Eagles of Excellence scholarship three times. Gustely is the Eagles' record holder in the javelin (41.66m) and is a two-time All-Region honoree in that event. She has won three PBC javelin titles and her resume includes PBC Field Athlete of the Year and Sportsmanship Award accolades.
Coward (Bridgeport, Barbados) is also a Business Administration major with a 3.90 GPA. A multi-event competitor for the Blue and Gold, she holds the Eagles' indoor pentathlon record (3,047 points), as well as the outdoor heptathlon record (4,608 points), both of which she set in 2022. Coward has four All-Region honors to her credit and was tabbed as the 2022 PBC Women's Track & Field Co-Field Athlete of the Year.
First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in early June.
