JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's track and field team closed out competition at the River City Classic hosted by the University of North Florida on Friday.
Competing in the 800m run
Ukeyvia Beckwith ran a season-best race and met the NCAA II provisional qualifying standard with a time of 2:07.56 to place second overall. The Eagles placed four in the top 10 as
Morgan Dudley (2:17.33) was eighth with a season-best time of her own, Mackenzie Keller was ninth with a personal-best time of 2:18.41 and
Caroline Harris was 10th (2:19.72).
In a 100m dash that saw
Shenya Patrice (12.20) place fifth overall,
Cerenity Daise ran the fastest race of her career, crossing in 13.01.
Ashtyn Hunt and
Emma Sorenson both cleared 1.50m (4-11) in the high jump. The mark was a personal best for Sorenson.
In the final event of the day, Beckwith and Dudley teamed up with
Nina Richardson and
Laura McBride for a second-place finish in the 4x400m relay with a season-best time of 3:57.98.
