WINTER PARK, Fla. - All the Embry-Riddle women's rowing team did was win on Saturday at the Tars Regatta as the Eagles finished first in all four 2,000-meters races held on Lake Maitland. Temperatures were in the low 80s with a sunny sky and a consistent crosswind.

The action began with the Blue and Gold's Varsity Eight boat of Megan Byrne (coxswain), Soleil Edwards, Kendra Sander, Shelby Ernst, Sofia Lorenzini, Elise Dezotell, Alexandra Weilert, Aria Moses, and Helena Schmidt downing a pair of Rollins vessels with a 6.4 second win (7:06.7).

Then in DII Fours, Alexis Mathis (coxswain), Veronika Zdrazil, Caterina Hart, Alexandria Fife-Winslow, and Kristen Vigna cruised across the finish line first with a 7:57.9, 13.4 seconds better than the Tars.

Byrne (coxswain), Edwards, Schmidt, Moses, and Weilert followed up their solid performance in Eights with a narrow win of eight tenths of a second (7:59.4) in Varsity 4 'A'.

In the last race of the day for the Eagles, Mathis (coxswain), Zdrazil, Briella Goldenberg, Reagan Hurt, and Danielle DelGrippo posted a time faster than ERAU's DII Fours boat (7:57.4) to earn a 19-second victory. Also of note, it was DelGrippo's first race of the 2022-23 season.

The Eagles continue their season with a dual at Barry on Saturday, March 11 at the Ronald W. Shane Watersports Center in Miami Shores, Florida.
