NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- Embry-Riddle sophomore
Sallie Squire was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association 2023 Division II All-Region Team on Wednesday. Squire garnered first team honors and became the fifth student-athlete in ERAU women's lacrosse history to earn All-Region recognition.
Â
Wednesday's announcement came just 10 days after Squire was named to the All-Sunshine State Conference roster for the second time in her young career. The Portsmouth, New Hampshire native led the Eagles with 78 points, which included an ERAU single-season-record 70 goals and eight assists. The three-time SSC Player of the Week also led the team in ground balls (56), draw controls (90) and caused turnovers (25).
Â
Squire helped lead ERAU Women's Lacrosse to the best season in program history. The Eagles matched the program record for most wins in a season after finishing at 13-5 overall and made the program's first postseason appearance.
Â
Squire is now eligible for nomination to the IWLCA All-America team.
