Women’s Basketball Ranked Fifth in WBCA /NCAA II Academic Top 25

ATLANTA, Ga. – For the sixth time in seven seasons, the Embry-Riddle women's basketball team was recognized for its performance in the classroom by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. ERAU was one of 25 NCAA II women's basketball programs to earn WBCA Academic Top 25 Team honors according to announcement made by the WBCA on Wednesday.
 
In 2022-23, the Eagles compiled a 3.822 cumulative grade point average which ranked as the fifth best GPA among NCAA Division II programs.
 
The Eagles had 14 student-athletes named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor with eight turning in perfect 4.0 GPA performances in the spring. In addition, Rachel Murray, Madyson Jean-Louis, Keturah Balabyekkubo and Jenna Teterycz earned Academic All-District recognition as awarded by College Sports Communicators.
 
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2022-23 season is the 27th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
