TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's cross country team had four individuals post personal-best times at the FSU Invitational on Friday. With an average time of 19:12.1, the Eagles placed 13th overall out of 35 teams.
The top finisher for the Blue & Gold was
Caroline Harris who ran the second fastest 5K race of her career with a time of 18:53.3 to finish 56th.
Abby Valley was the second runner to cross the line for the Eagles after running a personal best 18:57.6 to finish 64th.
Taylor Roth was close behind in 67th, recording a PR of her own with a time of 19:02.4. Kendal Mathis was next across for the Eagles with a personal-best time of 19:29.9 and Mackenzie Keller rounded out the Eagle scorers with a time of 19:37.4.
The fourth personal record belonged to
Nithya Chummar who finished in 22:11.6, which is 49 seconds faster than her previous PR.
Louisiana State University won the meet with 27 points while the University of Florida (42) and Florida International (106) rounded out the top three teams.
Next up for the Eagles is a trip to Huntsville, Alabama to compete in the UAH Invitational on Oct. 7.
