FAIRBURN, Ga. – After last week's race was canceled, the Embry-Riddle women's cross country rebounded well with a competitive race at the Georgia Tech Invitational at Boukaert Farms  on Friday. The Eagles captured seventh place out of a large field of 23 teams that included hosts Georgia Tech, Florida State, UAB, South Alabama and other Division I programs.Â

Mackenzie Keller continued her torrid start to the season with her third-place finish in the field of 191 runners (22:07.80). It's her third consecutive top-5 finish on the year. Though ERAU was missing the likes of
Taylor Roth and
Kendall Mathis, others stepped up with competitive times on the morning.
Â
Nearly all wearing the Blue & Gold finished in the top half of the field, as
Alaina Rider (46th – 24:00.31),
Allegra Triner (60th – 24:25.25),
Emily Tubbs (62nd – 24:31.49),
Charlotte O'Brien (71st – 24:43.71),
Ravyn Edge (81st – 24:57.53),
Nithya Chummar (86th – 25:07.42) and
Eve Downs (101st – 25:54.61) put together strong performances to vault ERAU to its top-10 finish.Â
Â
The race was a great lead-in for ERAU as it heads towards the back-half of the schedule with just one more regional meet before the postseason arrives. ERAU will head to Huntsville, Ala., next week to compete in the UAH Invite (Oct. 12) before gearing up for the SSC Championship on Oct. 25.Â
