2025 Embry-Riddle Softball Schedule
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - With the 2025 season just around the corner, the Embry-Riddle Softball team unveiled its schedule for the upcoming year. Eighteen different opponents are on the slate for a total of 47 games spread across nine home and seven road series with one home tournament. Of those 18 opponents, seven competed in last year's NCAA II National Tournament (Adelphi, Auburn Montgomery, Flagler, Nova Southeastern, Saint Leo, Tampa, and Wilmington), three advanced to the super regionals (Adelphi, Auburn Montgomery and Wilmington) and two reached the College World Series (Auburn Montgomery and Wilmington).

Last season, the Eagles finished 33-19 overall with a 16-14 mark in the Sunshine State Conference to place sixth in the league standings and solidify the program's tenth-consecutive season with a winning record. The Blue and Gold picked up a couple of upsets along the way, defeating No. 11 Wilmington, No. 23 Columbus State and No. 25 Nova Southeastern on two occasions. Eighteen of the 22 Eagles who saw the field in 2024 return for 2025, including All-SSC honorees Emma Wood, Delaney Morgan and Raissa Bianco.

The season begins on the road with a doubleheader at in-state rival Flagler on Feb. 1. The rivalry is renewed after the two sides took a break from playing each other last year.

Embry-Riddle's home opener occurs during the Eagle Classic from Feb. 7-9. Auburn Montgomery, Florida Tech and Newberry descend upon 'The World's Most Famous Beach' for nine games over three days. The Eagles face Newberry for the first time since 2019 on Feb. 7 and 9 and also take on the defending South Region champions Auburn Montgomery on Feb. 8 and 9. A non-conference meeting with Florida Tech is also included on Feb. 8.

SSC play begins soon after with a three-game series at Eckerd (Feb. 14-15). ERAU has dominated the all-time series against the Tritons, leading 21-3 with victories in each of the previous five meetings.

The Eagles then host their first conference series of the season on Feb. 21 with three games versus Barry. Embry-Riddle hasn't lost a series at home to the Buccaneers since 2018.

A meeting at Rollins follows from Feb. 28 to March 1. ERAU always enjoys a trip to Winter Park, Florida as the Eagles have won all three series played at the Rollins Softball Stadium.

Embry-Riddle steps away from conference action with a doubleheader with Wilmington. It's the third-consecutive season both programs will meet. The Blue and Gold got the upper hand in last year's affair by winning 2-1 in extras with a walk-off single from Mia Macchia.

Florida Southern makes the trip to Daytona Beach for a series starting on March 7. Embry-Riddle looks to continue its success against the Mocs as the Eagles are 16-5 overall and 7-2 at home when playing FSC.

ERAU stays home for spring break with doubleheaders against Adelphi (March 11), South Carolina Beaufort (March 12), and Hillsdale (March 15). This is the first time the Eagles face Adelphi since the two last played in 2020, and Embry-Riddle owns the all-time series 4-0. Former Sun Conference foes reunite when the Eagles welcome South Carolina Beaufort to town. The two squads last met in 2016 and planned to face off last year but were forced to cancel due to inclement weather.

After the break, ERAU faces back-to-back programs that made last year's national tournament. The Eagles host Tampa on March 21 and travel to Saint Leo the next weekend (March 28).

Last year's fireworks versus Florida Tech should resume in 2025 in Daytona Beach on April 4. The Eagles flexed their muscles in 2024 by smashing three home runs in the series opener. Radiology Associates Field has been kind to the Eagles when facing the Panthers as ERAU is 6-3 at home in the all-time series.

The final non-conference series of the season takes place on April 8 at Valdosta State. Embry-Riddle earned its first-ever victory over the Blazers in 2024 when the Eagles erased a 4-1 deficit over the final two innings and secured the win with a game-winning two-RBI single up the middle from Shelby Morse.

After the tough stretch of games, Embry-Riddle can find some comfort in trekking to Lynn on April 11 and 12, a team the Eagles have defeated in the last 12-straight contests. Last year's series was a nail-biter as all three games had a winning margin of just one run and two went to extra innings.

ERAU will look to stay rolling against Nova Southeastern on April 17 and 18 after shocking the Sharks last year with a series win. The regular season concludes on April 25-26 when the Eagles host Palm Beach Atlantic.

The SSC regular-season champion receives the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA II National Tournament. The World Series will be held at Frost Stadium at Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee from May 22-28.
