Five Eagles Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five Embry-Riddle softball student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Mattea Martin, Emma Wood, Olivia Dougherty, Leah Oberkehr, and Shelby Morse all earned the honor for the 2026 season, marking the third consecutive season that the softball program has produced five honorees.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or complete 35 innings of pitching. Eligible student-athletes also must possess at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average in both undergraduate and graduate work and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Institutions are limited to only five nominations.

Morse picks up her third All-District honor of her career while Oberkehr earns her second. Dougherty, Martin, and Wood all earn their first.

Morse, a senior from Napa, California, finished her career as the program's all-time leader in innings pitched (559.1) and in appearances (108). She tossed a total of 148.2 innings to lead the Eagles in 2026, posting a 2.68 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 69 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .268 clip at the plate. Morse picks up her third-straight CSC All-District honor finishing with a .3975 GPA in communications.

Oberkehr earns her second All-District Team honor of her career after a solid senior campaign. The 2025 CSC Academic All-American Third-Team honoree finished her career with 118 stolen bases to capture the program's career record, stealing 46 bags in 2026. She finished batting .308 on the season and played in all 50 contests for ERAU, earning Second Team All-SSC honors. She finished her career with a 3.91 GPA in Civil Engineering.

Wood earned her first career CSC honor and captured the program's top spot for all-time doubles with 42 in her career. She started in all 50 contests for the Eagles and gathered Second Team All-SSC honors as the team's leader in batting average (.361) and putouts (298). Wood finished this season with a 3.60 GPA in Aviation Business Administration.

Dougherty picked up her first CSC Honor as an Eagle as one of the mainstays in the circle during the 2026 season. The transfer posted 130 strikeouts in 144.0 innings pitched and finished with a 1.99 ERA. She closed out the year with three shutouts and 13 complete games. Dougherty finished with a 3.81 in Homeland Security and Intelligence.

Martin a steady selection in the outfield, earned her first CSC Honor. She competed in all 50 games this season and finished with a .264 batting average. She has earned SSC Honor Roll, D2ADA Academic Achievement Award, and NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. The Elkhorn, Nebraska native finished with a 3.67 in Business Marketing.
