LAKELAND, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's tennis team won all three doubles matches in the consolation bracket on the second day of the ITA Division II South Regional at the Beerman Tennis Center.

Safar Rasulov bow out of contention with a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Valdosta State's Jerome Iaconi in the round of 16. Also competing in the round of 16,
Wilson Igbinovia gave Diego Duran all he could handle, but in the end, it was the West Florida player who was able to advance after eking out a 7-6 (3), 7-5 win.
The Blue and Gold had a successful day in the consolation bracket. After besting Lynn's Yaron Guberman 8-0 on Sunday,
Alvaro Diaz Rodrigo won both of his single matches on Monday, outlasting Rollins' Fabin Gusic 8-7 (5) and Auburn Montgomery's Giuseppe Bonaiuti 8-7 (6) to move on to the back draw semifinals.
The Eagles were victorious in all three doubles matches in the back draw as
Enrico Rosellini and
Michele Iftimie teamed up for an 8-4 win against Bonaiuti and Jami Savolainen. Rasulov partnered with Josh Nuyts for an 8-7 (5) win over Rafael Lima and Matthew Pirie from Spring Hill, while Diaz Rodrigo and Igbinovia dispatched Florida Southern's Matthew Hewitt and Mehmet Onur Turgut 8-5.
All three doubles teams will be in action in the consolation quarterfinals on Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m. when Rosellini and Iftimie will face West Alabama's Francisco Oliveira and Eita Ishikawa. At 9 a.m. Rasulov and Nuyts will take on West Florida's Albin Ekenros and Bernardo Costa, while Diaz Rodrigo and Igbinovia's opponents will be Roberto Campoverde and Simone Cavalleri from Barry.
At 11 a.m., Diaz Rodrigo will be back on the court for his consolation semifinal match against Dylan Andrianaly from Saint Leo.
