Women's Soccer Advances to National Tournament for Sixth Consecutive Season

| By:
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle women's soccer found out on Monday evening that they will be competing in the NCAA II National Tournament for the sixth consecutive season. The Eagles are the only team in the South region who has qualified for the tournament in each of the past six years.

The 2025 championship field will include 56 teams, which will compete in a single-elimination tournament. ERAU will travel to Pensacola, Florida as the No. 5 seed, with their opening round match taking place on Friday, Nov. 21 against Florida Tech, the No. 4 seed in the region. In their matchup against Florida Tech, on September 27, in Daytona Beach, the Eagles and Panthers tied 1-1. The winner will take on West Florida, who serves as the host of this regional, after earning the No. 1 overall seed. Embry-Riddle faced off against the Argonauts during the first weekend of the season, with that game also ending in a 2-2 draw.

Head Coach Liam McIlhatton said, "We are really happy that we get to extend our season. The players have worked so hard and I'm grateful that we get another opportunity to play. We know we are coming up against a very good Florida Tech side and we will do everything we can to move on."
