DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Embry-Riddle women's basketball head coach
Lisa Wilson has announced the signing of three incoming freshmen for the 2026-27 season. The Eagles added Florida standouts France Garilus, Alyssa Marino, and Tatyana Campise-Pinkney to their roster.
Garilus, an Orlando native, provides plenty of size to the Eagles' frontcourt. "France is an extremely versatile player who can score in the post, shoot the three, handle the ball, and pass," Wilson said. "With her size and skill set, she'll be a great fit in both our defensive and offensive systems."
A standout at Edgewater High School, Garilus is averaging a double-double with 13.8 points and 11 rebounds per game, while also recording more than two steals and a block per contest. She shot 63 percent from the field last season, served as team captain, and earned First Team All-Conference honors along with being named the 6A District Player of the Year. A two-time district champion, she has surpassed both 1,000 career points and rebounds. Garilus plans to major in computer engineering and hopes to pursue a career in graphic design or engineering.
Marino, an Orlando, Florida, native comes to Daytona Beach, after being named the 5A District Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Coach Wilson stated, "Alyssa is a deadly shooter with deep range. She has a high basketball IQ and will be a great addition to our backcourt with her ball handling, passing and shooting ability."
At Gateway High School, Marino averaged more than 18 points and seven assists per game, while adding three steals per contest and shooting 50 percent from the field during her junior season. She is a two-time district champion, a two-time All-County First Team selection, and has scored more than 1,000 career points. She intends to major in Homeland Security with aspirations to work for the FBI or Secret Service.
Campise-Pinkney will join the Eagles out of Boca Raton, Florida, where she currently plays for Somerset Academy. Coach Wilson stated, "Tatyana is a three-level player who can score in a variety of ways. She has good size at the guard spot and can really defend and rebound."
As a freshman, Campise-Pinkney averaged nearly 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals per game. She followed that with 12 points and five rebounds per game as a sophomore, shooting 38 percent from the field. Last season, she shifted into a playmaking role, averaging five assists and 7.2 points per game while shooting 43 percent. She plans to major in Business Administration and hopes to become an operations manager.
Coach Wilson is excited to get this freshman class on campus, saying. "All three young ladies have great energy and are an excellent 'student-person-player', that will fit right into our culture here at Embry-Riddle."
