Embry-Riddle Softball Unveils 2026 Schedule

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle softball has unveiled its 2026 schedule, head coach Kelsi Dunne Diaz has announced.

The Eagles are coming off their 11th consecutive winning season with a 29-18 overall finish and a 15-15 mark in the Sunshine State Conference to place seventh in the league.

The Spring will see 29 different opponents across 54 total games, including 37 at home.

Embry-Riddle's home opener occurs during the Embry-Riddle Invitational. The tournament is a three day competition (Jan. 30 - Feb. 1) that invites talented squads from all over the country, including opponents from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Conference Carolinas, and the Peach Belt Conference.

The Eagles will compete against Pittsburg State and Ferris State on Friday, Jan. 30, and return to the Diamond on Sunday, Feb. 1 to take on Columbus State and Mount Olive.

Next on the slate for Embry-Riddle is the Eagles Classic which invites teams from the Gulf South Conference, Peach Belt Conference, and the Coastal Carolinas to the Embry-Riddle Softball Field. During the four-day Eagles Classic, Embry-Riddle will see the likes of Mississippi College (Feb. 5), Southern Wesleyan (Feb. 5), West Alabama (Feb. 7), and Georgia College (Feb. 8).

The Blue and Gold's first stint on the road is a trip to the Panther Invitational in which they will take on Gulf-South Conference Champions Auburn Montgomery, and the Lone Star Conference's Angelo State on Friday, Feb. 13. Auburn Montgomery is riding high after a trip to the NCAA Super Regionals last season, and will be a challenging opponent for the Eagles.

The Eagles then host their first conference match with a visit from the Eckerd Tritons (Feb. 20-21). Embry-Riddle has dominated the all-time series against Eckerd, leading 23-4, and took the series win last season 2-1 after an impressive 17-3 victory in game one of their double-header on Feb. 15, 2025.

Then, the Blue and Gold pack their bags for a trip to Miami for another conference match against the Barry Buccaneers. The Eagles look to hold on to their narrow 14-13 lead in the all-time series.

Embry-Riddle takes a break from SSC play with two out-of-conference midweek matches, starting with a double-header against Wilmington on Tuesday, Mar. 3, and a contest against Lander on Wednesday, Mar. 4.

Next for the Eagles is the Embry-Riddle Round Robin. The three-day event is jam-packed with action, featuring competition from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Northeast-10 Conference, and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Eagles kick off the action on Friday, Mar. 6 with matches against Tiffin and Assumption. They return to the Diamond on Saturday, Mar. 7 to take on Caldwell, and again on Sunday, Mar. 8 for a second match against Caldwell.

Northeast-10 Conferences' Adelphi makes a mid-week visit for a double-header on Tuesday, Mar. 10. The Eagles lead the all-time series 5-1, and dominated in their last meeting with an 8-0 shutout win.

The Eagles continue on a seven-game homestead with a conference match against Rollins (Mar. 13-14), followed by out-of-conference double-headers against Saint Michael's (Mar. 18), and Hillsdale (Mar. 20).

SSC play ramps up in late March as the Eagles face back-to-back programs that made last year's national tournament. Embry-Riddle visits the Tampa Spartans (Mar. 27-28) and hosts Saint Leo the following weekend (Apr. 2-3).

Conference play is broken up with a quick visit from Flagler (Apr. 8) before the Eagles travel to Melbourne, Fla. to take on Karman Clash foe, Florida Tech (Apr. 10-11).

Next on the slate is back-to-back weekends at home where Embry-Riddle faces Lynn (Apr. 17-18), and Nova Southeastern (Apr. 24-25). Game two of the double-header against Nova Southeastern on Saturday, Apr. 25, will mark the Blue and Gold's regular season home-finale.

The Eagles bid-adieu to the Embry-Riddle Softball Field as the remainder of their regular season will be competed on the road. Embry-Riddle head to Palm Beach Atlantic (May 1-2) before closing out their regular season in Lakeland, Fla. against the Florida Southern Mocassins (May 8-9).

The NCAA II Softball Championship is set for May 28-June 3 at Frost Stadium at Warner Park in Chattanooga, TN.
