TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Day one of Terry Long FSU Relays hosted by Florida State University featured only six events, but the Eagles made the most of it by setting multiple personal records, a top-10 all-time performance, and a new Embry-Riddle program record.
Highlight Performances
Hammer Throw: Matt Larsen and Tristen Wheaton set the tone for day one, both hitting personal bests. Larsen recorded a mark of 46.90m, while Wheaton threw a mark of 46.71m.
High Jump: Jeremy Mog, the lone Eagle in the event set a new PR at 1.95m
Long Jump: Aaron Nash had another standout performance, jumping his way into fourth all-time in program history. His last three jumps of 7.08m, 7.10m and 7.16m now rank sixth, fifth and fourth all-time, respectively.
4x100-Meter Relay: The highlight of the day came from the team of Nash, Carter Speh, Craig Dedrick III and K'Anthony Benjamin, who became the first 4x100 squad in program history to break 41s. Their time of 40.83s won the event and secured their place atop the Embry-Riddle record books.
