Men's Track and Field Opens the Season with the Eagle Invite

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team kicked off its outdoor season in dominant fashion at the Eagle Invite, securing multiple first-place finishes and delivering standout performances. The Eagle Invite was a home meet that took place at the ERAU Track & Field Complex.

HIGHLIGHT PERFORMANCES
  • Antonio Caito: Caito was a highlight of the meet, posting the top triple jump mark of the day at 14.92m. His impressive effort ranks as the third-farthest jump in ERAU history and meets the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.
  • Javelin: The Eagles claimed the top three spots in the javelin, led by Chase O'Connell with a throw of 61.08m. Mason Briggs (60.32m) and Noah Gamichia (59.85m) completed the podium sweep. These three Eagles also hit the NCAA provisional qualifying standard which is set at 58.93m.
  • Hammer Throw: Embry-Riddle dominated the hammer throw as well, with Chance Tressler winning the event at 46.92m. Matt Larsen (46.26m) and Tristen Wheaton (44.49m) rounded out the podium for the Eagles.

The Eagles will travel to Orlando, Fla., to compete in the Black and Gold Invite hosted by the University of Central Florida on March 21-22.
