DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's track and field team won its seventh consecutive Peach Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships with 226 points on Tuesday. A dominant showing all around left the Eagles 69 points ahead of their competition and the championship saw new PBC and ERAU records as well as four gold medals.
Championship performances:
- Triple Jump– Kobe Diggs delivered a standout performance with a career-best leap of 15.36 meters, the fourth longest in ERAU program history. The jump set a new Peach Belt Conference record, PBC meet record and met the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field provisional standard.
- 100m – K'Anthony Benjamin sprinted to gold with a time of 10.37 seconds, breaking a 13-year-old ERAU record, setting a new PBC meet record, and hitting the NCAA II 'provisional standard.
- 200m – Benjamin added a second gold medal with a 21.03 finish, the second-fastest time ever recorded in ERAU's all-time record book.
- Decathlon- Carter Speh claimed gold in the decathlon after two days of strong competition. He placed first in four events and second in another four, totaling 6,333 points to secure the title.

With the Peach Belt Conference championship in hand, the Eagles now set their sights on the Lee University Last Chance Meet on May 9 in Cleveland, Tennessee. The event gives athletes a final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
