Volleyball Signs Two Ahead of 2025 Season

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Embry-Riddle Volleyball Head Coach Joslynn Gallop announced her incoming freshman class for the 2025 season. Bre Jones and Dakota Zieman both signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Eagles next season.

Jones was a versatile player for Boca Ciega High School. Standing at six feet tall, she spent time as an outside hitter, opposite hitter, middle blocker and setter, racking up 155 kills, 38 aces, 12 blocks, 125 digs and 190 assists during her senior season.

The St. Petersburg, Florida product received First Team All-Conference honors and made the Honor Roll in all four years as a Pirate. Her sister, Temple, also competes collegiately in volleyball for Trinity College. Jones intends to major in business administration.

Zieman is a lethal attacker out of Eastvale, California. The 5-11 outside and opposite hitter enjoyed a successful career for Ontario Christian High School with 450 kills, 311 digs, 53 aces, and 29 assists as a senior team captain, earning an invitation to the Riverside/San Bernardino All-Star Game. She received back-to-back First Team All-League selections in 2023 and 2024 and was named to the All-Inland Empire First Team this past season as well.

Club competition was also very successful for Zieman. As a sophomore, she aided her team to a first-place result at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier Under-15 USA Division. This secured a spot in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship for Zieman and her team, where they placed third. The next year, she assisted her squad in earning a third-place result at the Southern California Volleyball Association Power Regional Championship 16. Zieman also made the Division 2 All-Tournament team at the Dave Mohs Tournament. In 2024, she earned first place and a spot on the All-Tournament team at the Freeway Games.

Off the court, Zieman volunteered at the Eastvale Little League and Food4Life. Aeronautical Science is Zieman's intended major with the aspiration of becoming a pilot.
