PUEBLO, COLO. –
Ryan Flournoy, a standout on the Embry-Riddle men's track and field team, stepped into the national spotlight on Saturday afternoon after a time change due to incoming poor weather. Competing at the highest level, Flournoy rose to the occasion with a stellar performance, capping off his season and his college career on a high note.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- On his third attempt, Flournoy launched a career-best throw of 70.26 meters. The throw earned him a fifth-place finish in the nation, securing First-Team All-America honors. Flournoy's performance was not only the best of his career but was also the furthest throws in ERAU program history (breaking his own record).
Team Finish
The men's track and field team wrapped up its season with an overall 45
th place national finish. The Eagles were represented by
Antonio Caito,
Kobe Diggs, and Flournoy, each of whom competed and finished in the top 20 in the nation. Their efforts helped solidify ERAU's presence among the top programs in the country.
