INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) announced the 24-team field for the 2025 Division II Women's Lacrosse Championships, and for the first time in program history the Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team has earned the opportunity to fight for the crown. The tournament field was announced on Sunday night during the DII women's lacrosse selection show. The Eagles earned the third seed and will take on sixth seed Mount Olive University in the South Region bracket being hosted by No.2 seed Florida Southern in Lakeland, Florida.
The Eagles captured their first Sunshine State Conference title winning a share of the conference regular season crown earlier this season and are now ready to compete in a single-elimination tournament. They entered the IWLCA top 10 for the first time this season and was ranked as high as No.3.
The Trojans (11-7) earned a spot in the tournament after winning the Conference Carolina's Championships.
The first round is set to commence on May 8 at 3 p.m.
