| By:
SARASOTA, Fla. — Embry-Riddle men's rowing sent three varsity eight boats along with a trio of fours to compete at the Sarasota 2K on Saturday, in addition to their first duo race of the season. The Eagles competed from multiple schools around the state, including Jacksonville, Florida Tech, Rollins, Florida, and FSU.

The day of racing got started with the V8+ boats, watching the Blue and Gold's crew cross the line at 6:35.54 for a third-place finish. The races with the eight boats continued with the JV+ race where ERAU finished as the top Division II school and overall runner-up behind Jacksonville with a time of 6:53.55.

Following a break in the afternoon, Embry-Riddle sent a pair of underclassmen in Sawyer Dalton and Dylan Boguszewski to the duo race. ERAU earned its third podium finish of the day after they placed second at 7:13.23. The young members of the Blue and Gold continued a successful day in the freshman/novice 8+ race when they crossed the finish line just 0.09 seconds ahead of Central Florida Rowing at 6:44.61.

Four consecutive races with the four boats ended the competition with the first of those being the JV4+. The Eagles earned their third runner-up finish with a time of 7:17.14. A similar time of 7:18.24 was enough for the F/N4+ to earn a third-place result.

The 2V4+ boat finished their 2,000 meter race at 7:45.06, crossing ahead of the boat from UF, while the V4+ closed out the day with a bronze medal finish as they crossed the finish line with a time of 7:47.47.
