Sue Delahanty?found solice in becoming the Eagles career kill leader in her final game with 22 kills in a 3-0 loss (30-20, 30-20, 30-22) to NCAA Division I Stetson University.
Needing 16 to break the mark, the New Smyrna Beach native finished her career with 1,521 kills and also closed out her four years as the Eagles total block leader with 361.
Behind the spirited?play of Delahanty, the Eagles mounted a strong effort against Stetson which finished the season with a 10-13 record.?
Stetson had their own dominant attacker in senior Stetson all-time kill leader Kira Smedley finishing with an amazing .528 hitting percentage and 20 kills.? The Hatters finished with a .291 hitting percentage and had four players post double-figures in digs led by Smedley with 16, while DeeAnn Dempsey added 12, Liz Gorski finished with 11 and Rachel Miller posted 10.
