OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - The Embry-Riddle men's rowing team picked up hardware every chance it got at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship. The Eagles finished on the podium in all three races, earning a gold and two bronze medals. All races were held on Melton Hill Lake.

The action began with the Varsity 4 semifinals. After winning the time trial on Friday, Vaclav Kuncak, Alec Palmer (coxswain), Blake Paynter, Ognjen Srbinovic, and Matthew Talty claimed victory in Semifinal 2 with a 6:56.023 to advance to the A Final.

From there on out, Embry-Riddle medaled in every race, starting with single sculls. Frederic Knecht improved two positions from his time trial placement to third with a time of 7:50.357. He bested boats from Virginia, Auburn, and SMU.

Fifteen minutes later, Mason Anderson and Nick Horn grabbed another bronze medal for the Eagles in pairs, edging Rollins at the line by just over a second. They improved a spot from the time trial thanks to a 7:46.975 time also ahead of Texas and Virginia.

In the last race of the championship for the Blue and Gold, the Varsity 4 boat returned to the water to go a perfect 3-for-3 on the weekend. The Eagles (7:01.573) won the A Final by over two seconds, beating Florida Tech, Virginia, William & Mary, Texas, and Georgia Tech.

Only one regatta remains on the schedule - the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta held in Philadelphia on May 13.
