Embry-Riddle Women's Tennis Announces 2025 Schedule

| By:
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The 2025 Embry-Riddle women's tennis season is set to be a demanding one, with head coach Chad Berryhill unveiling a schedule that will challenge the Eagles from start to finish. The team will face 10 opponents who finished in the ITA/NCAA Division II Top 50 rankings last season.

The Eagles five returners include Laura Cuesta Bret and Jessica Wira Hadipoernomo. Cuesta Bret was Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year and named to the SSC Second Team and Wira Hadipoernomo returns for her final year after winning the ITA/NCAA II Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership & Sportsmanship. In addition, the Eagles have added four transfers and one freshman. Coach Berryhill has designed a schedule to prepare his team for the challenges ahead, and the Eagles are eager to improve on last year's 17-8 record.

The Eagles open their season at home on February 7, taking on Edward Waters, followed by St. Thomas on February 9 and Southeastern on February 13. Sunshine State Conference play begins shortly thereafter with a matchup against No. 4 Lynn on February 17.

Thanks to their No.5 final national ranking in 2024, the team has been invited to participate in the 2025 ITA DII National Women's Indoor Championship. The Eagles open the tournament in Indianapolis, Ind. on February 21 against No. 6-ranked Wingate. The month of February wraps up with a home contest against Michigan Tech on February 28.

March sees the Eagles embarking on a seven-match home stretch. It kicks off with an SSC match-up against Palm Beach Atlantic on March 1. The remainder of the home stand features Saginaw Valley State (March 4), Fresno Pacific (March 5), Minnesota Crookston (March 8), Indiana University of Pennsylvania (March 9), Ferris State (March 12), and Rider (March 19).

The Eagles then hit the road for five-matches away from the Crotty Tennis Complex, starting with an SSC contest at Rollins on March 20. The next match is against No. 8 Flagler on March 22, the only non-conference opponent in this stretch. Embry-Riddle will face three more teams that finished in the ITA/NCAA II top 50 in 2024: No. 15 Saint Leo (March 26), No. 1 Nova Southeastern (March 29), and No. 2 Barry (March 30).

The regular season concludes with home matches against the Tampa (April 4), Florida Southern (April 9), Eckerd (April 12), and Valdosta State (April 15).

The top eight teams in the SSC regular season standings will advance to the 2025 Sunshine State Conference Tournament, which will be hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic in West Palm Beach from April 25-27.
