DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Embry-Riddle Men's Track and Field completed its second home meet of the season wrapping up day three of Embry-Riddle Running Elements Classic at the ERAU Track & Field Complex.
Walker Cowherd set a personal record in the 400m, running it in a time of 50.62. Meanwhile,
Colin McHugh set a personal outdoor record in the event of 50.84.
Chris Abell set a career best in the 400m, running it in 55.55.
Antonio Caito won the triple jump, as his leap of 14.79m tied his jump at the Embry-Riddle Blue and Gold Invite four weeks prior for the sixth-best in program history, also giving the sophomore five of the 10 best marks in the event for an Eagle.
Chance Tressler (39.31m),
Eli Moon (37.48m),
Chase O'Connell (35.07m) and
Joseph Rigo (28.95m) all set career records in the discus.
In the 800m,
Jake Fritz ran the eighth-best time in program history, winning the event in a time of 1:52.09. In addition,
Micah Blair (1:55.59) and
Lucca DiMario (1:57.42) set personal bests.
Tressler came in second place in the shot put with a 14.34m toss, a personal outdoor record for him.
Jacob Swavely also set a personal outdoor record of 12.72m. Moon (12.42m),
Michael Holmberg (12.25m) and Rigo (11.13m) all set overall career bests in the event.
The Eagles will head to Tampa next weekend to participate in USF's South Florida Invitational on Friday, April 5.
