Men's Rowing Open its Spring Slate in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, Fla.- The Embry-Riddle men's rowing team kicked off its spring season by facing Jacksonville University. The Dolphins reached as high as 24th in last year's Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Poll for Heavyweight Varsity Eights.

THE WATER
  • The course was 2,000m.
  • The water was flat, with some rolling waves due to boat traffic.
  • The boats raced against moderate head current.
THE BOATS RESULTS
  • The 2nd Varsity 8+ earned a strong first-place finish with a time of 7:06.2, outpacing Jacksonville's boat, which finished at 7:09.9.
  • The 1st Varsity 8+ finished in second place with a time of 6:51.3, just one second behind Jacksonville's time of 6:50.3.
