Men’s Rowing Sweeps Rollins Invitational

WINTER PARK, Fla.- Embry-Riddle Men's Rowing completely dominated Rollins and Florida by winning all five of the races the Eagles competed in. Four of those races had a margin of victory of 10 or more seconds. 

THE WATER
  • Course: Lake Maitland
  • Length: 2,000m
  • Conditions: Absolutely perfect. No wind. Even racing in all lanes and all events

THE BOATS
THE RESULTS
  • The 1V8 'A' boat set a blistering pace, finishing in 5:55.7 to win by ten seconds over ERAU's 'B' boat (6:06.7). Rollins (6:09.1) and Florida (6:13.9) finished in third and fourth.
  • The 2V8 cruised to a 4-second win at 6:16.0, ahead of Rollins (6:40.1) and Florida (6:55.9).
  • Varsity 4 clipped the Tars by 3.2 seconds with a time of 6:53.6.
  • F/N8 had the largest margin of victory of the day, winning by 26.1 seconds (6:05.7) over RC and another 25 seconds clear of UF.
  • The Eagles entered a pair of boats in the Varsity 4 'B' race. The 'A' boat was the victor with a time of 6:52.2 while 'B' boat (7:07.4) was edged by Rollins at the line.
