THE PLAY
Embry-Riddle (296-291-297=884) | 15th
  • The Eagles began the day on a tear, moving all the way up into 11th thanks to Ball's five-under-par start.
  • ERAU was eight under par on par 5s.

Tiago Barni (69-72-74=215) | T-19th
  • Barni closed out his collegiate career with five pars and a birdie on his last six holes.
  • That birdie came under unusual circumstances.
    • A drive wide right of the fairway on hole No. 9 placed the ball right next to the cart path underneath bushes.
    • Taking a relief drop on the other side of the cart path in the rough behind the green of hole No. 7, Barni had to shoot the ball, which was on a downward-sloping patch of rough, over the bushes, palm trees, and a tee box on the 15th hole to reach the green, which he did.
    • A successful putt on his third shot ensured a birdie.
  • Barni garnered his third top-20 result of the season and the sixth of his career.
  • His 215 stroke total was his lowest of the spring.
  • Barni's 4.00 stroke average on par 4s tied for the fifth-best mark in the field.
  • He was also two under par on par 5s.
  • His 15 birdies led the squad and were the third-most in the field.

Edoardo Scialanga (76-70-76=222) | T-55th
  • Scialanga played consistently by notching a team-leading 15 pars on the day.
  • That included the first five holes and the final nine holes.
  • His 36 pars led the team.

Michael Faringer (73-77-78=228) | T-87th
  • Faringer earned a birdie on the par-5, 569-yard hole No. 10.
  • He was two under on par 5s in the tournament.

Ian Ball (78-81-70=229) | T-90th
  • Ball saved his best round of the spring for last with a 70 on Saturday.
  • He was on a tear, starting his round with two birdies and an eagle in his first four holes.
  • All three could be contributed to sunk puts of 10 or more feet, including a 30-foot putt for his eagle on the par-5 17th, which was the team's only eagle of the tournament.
  • Another birdie on Ball's eighth hole had the junior at five under halfway through the round.
  • Ball excelled on par 5s, going three under par for the tournament.

Ryan Gear (82-72-77=231) | T-95th
  • Gear posted a pair of below-par scores on par 5s in a three-hole span.
  • He found success on par 5s over his three rounds, going one under par on such holes.

UP NEXT
That concludes the 2024-25 Embry-Riddle Men's Golf season. It was a historic year for the Eagles with multiple milestones reached, earning a bid to an NCAA II regional for the first time ever while Scialanga became the program's first All-Sunshine State Conference selection.

Additionally, the team broke the single-season stroke average record.
