Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo added another accolade to her portfolio on Monday when she was announced as a First Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators. Wira Hadipoenromo is the first Eagles women's tennis player to win Academic All-American honors.
Wira Hadipoenromo (Samarang, Indonesia) played in 32 singles matches and 35 doubles matches this year, finishing with a 26-6 overall singles record and 25-10 doubles winning record. She also made history as she became the winningest singles player in ERAU history, accumulating 79 wins from 2021-25. The Eagle has been recognized for her performance this season, earning her second Sunshine State Conference Second Team accolade. She also finished the highest-ranked Eagle singles player this season at 33 in the country.
She has also been recognized for her academic achievements throughout her career at Embry-Riddle, earning a series of awards. A three-time Sunshine State Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree, three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, and two-time D2 ADA Academic Achievement award winner. She was also the recipient of the NCAA II Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship in 2024. She graduated this year with her master's in data science with a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
To be considered for Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must have played in 70 percent of the days of competition and academically achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
