The Eagles' quest for their second win of the year started with a sweep of all three doubles matches. Top-ranked
Deni Zmak and Jaime Sanchez-Canamares dispatched Jose Martinez and Bruno Padilha 8-1 at the top spot, and reigning Sun Conference Player of the Week
Miguel Lopez Gomez and
Luke de Caires bested Justen Louis and Hunter Hutcheson by the same score at the third position for the first two Eagle points. At No. 2 doubles, ERAU's
Carlos Becke and Fabian Zierlyn engaged in a tough battle with Brant Switzler and David Espinosa. That match-up required a tiebreaker to decide the outcome, and in the end, it was the ERAU tandem that pulled out the 9-8 with a 8-6 decision in the tiebreaker, giving the Blue and Gold a three-point lead.

The matches at the third through sixth singles positions were all two-set wins for Embry-Riddle, including the contest at the No. 6 spot where
Rodolfo Arreygue downed John Bailey 6-2, 6-3 to score the clincher.

Zmak leads the Eagles with 14 singles wins and hast teamed up with Sanchez-Canamares for 14 wins in doubles play. Freshamn Rodolgo Arreygue is undefeated in singles at 5-0 on the year.
ABOUT THE MOCCASINSFlorida Southern finished 2014 with an overall record of 10-10 and a 2-4 mark in the SSC. The Mocs are playing their second match of the year after suffering a 7-0 season-opening loss to NCAA I Stetson on Feb. 1.

Eighth-year head coach Trey Heath returns just one student-athlete from last season's squad in senior Charles Garneau. Last season, Garneau went 9-7 in singles play, including posting an 8-6 mark at the No. 6 spot and also went 8-8 in doubles at the No. 3 spot in the line-up.
THE ERAU-FSC SERIESSaturday's contest marks the 11th meeting between the Embry-Riddle and Florida Southern in men's tennis teams. ERAU has won each of the last six meetings, including an 8-1 decision against the Mocs last season (April 9, 2014), and are 6-4 all-time against FSC.

Patrick Besch and
Jaime Sanchez-Canamares Rios notched the Eagles' first point with an 8-5 decision against Vladimir Barabash and Nathan Leavitt at No. 2 doubles.
Deni Zmak and
Simon Felix extended the advantage to 2-0 with an 8-6 win over Emanuel Lueber and Benoit Paradis at the top spot, but the Moccasins got a point back when Charles Garneau and Carl Lundberg won a tight 9-8 (7-4) battle over
Luke de Caires and
Miguel Lopez Gomez on court three.

At No. 5 singles, Lundberg pulled FSC even with the Eagles by topping de Caires 6-2, 6-1, but Felix put the Eagles back on top with his 6-4, 6-2 defeat of Barabash at the fourth position. Zmak further widened the gap with a 6-3, 6-3 decision against Paradis at No. 1 singles and Besch clinched the win for the Blue and Gold by besting Leavitt 6-3, 6-1 at the third spot.

Florida Southern got its third point of the day when Lueber managed to hold off Sanchez-Canamares on court two. Lopez Gomez capped the Eagles' scoring with a 6-2, 6-1 defeat of Tony D'Angelo at the sixth position.
