DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The second-ranked Embry-Riddle men's tennis team ran its 2015 Sun Conference record to 4-0 with a 9-0 shutout of Warner on Monday. For the sixth time this season, the Eagles did not allow their opponent to post a single point as they improved to 9-3 overall.
 
The Eagles set the tone early, dropping just two games in the three doubles matches combined. Fabian Zierlyn and Carlos Becke made quick work of Bruno Fonseca and Daniel Santiago with an 8-1 win at the No. 2 spot. Miguel Lopez Gomez and Rodolfo Arreygue blanked Arthur Bortolin and Lucas Bortolin 8-0 on court three, and second-ranked Deni Zmak and Jaime Sanchez-Canamares Rios wrapped up the doubles sweep with an 8-1 defeat of Guillerme De Vauxclairs and Renan Gambin at the top spot.
 
Playing at the No. 2 spot in the lineup, Becke got the Eagles' first singles point via a straight-set shutout (6-0, 6-0) of Gambin. The next match off the court was the No. 3 spot where Luke de Caires downed Bruno Fonseca 6-2, 6-0 to score the clincher.
                                            
Arreygue delivered the Eagles' sixth point with a 6-1, 6-3 defeat of Arthur Bortolin on court four and Zierlyn made it 7-0 with his 6-2, 6-1 decision against De Vauxclairs at the top spot. Lopez Gomez and Roberto Cuellar Rangel secured the dual match sweep with Lopez Gomez dispatching Santiago 6-1, 6-0 at the fifth spot and Cuellar blanking Lucas Bortolin at No. 6 for his second win of the season.
 
The Eagles return to the court at 10 a.m. on Wednesday to host NCAA I University of Connecticut.
